I’ve been practicing using the potty a lot recently, both at school and at home. I’ve had some success at school and am trying more and more at home. I think I’ll be using the potty like a pro really soon.

As a special treat, Mommy bought me some peach juice from the vending machine. I had been asking for it on our walk home almost daily. I was so happy!

The peach juice matched very well with the dinner Mommy made for me.

We had a fire drill today today and we listened to our teachers’ instructions very diligently. During the fire drill I was a little scared going down the stairwell, but I did fine. In the end there was nothing to it.

On our walk, we went to the train station and visited a greengrocer. There were a lot of delicious vegetables to see, but not eat.

I go through so many mood swings and at any moment I can go from being a happy boy to being very much not happy and most of the time I cannot say why. It is just part of growing up.

We had a fun interactive storybook time today where we could touch the soft fuzzy animals. The animals were so cute.

On our walk to the park today we saw some construction going on and we just had to stop by and take a good look at everything.

We also came across a ladybug. It was so cute! I was so happy to see it and I just had to pet it.

I like interacting with Alexa at home, but some times she just doesn’t understand me. And I find that hilarious!

Lot of fun dancing at school today. We even did a bit of exercises as well.

And to calm things down a bit we did some drawing too.

I was so excited to see a crane on our walk home from school that I just had to take a picture of Mommy and me in front of it.

Mommy made me a special omurice dinner that was a very happy end to a very happy day!

Dinner is oh so good!

Today we learned about sora mame (broad beans). We read a storybook about them and then our teachers showed us the actual beans that how they come in a pod. When our teachers show us the beans I said, “It’s the same,” referring to the storybook we read and “It’s so big!” because it is a lot bigger than other beans I have eaten. We listened intently and even got to sketch the beans so that we could remember what we learned about them. Our school cook prepared the beans for us to eat at lunch and I have to say, I’m not a fan. I didn’t really like them. It must be an acquired taste.

We had gymnastics class again and despite the encouragement from my teachers, I again elected to observe instead of participate.

We had a nice walk to the park today. We played tag, went in search of flowers, and posed for this park picture!

I’m getting bigger and bigger every day. It is hard to believe how much I’ve grown. And I’m showing no signs of stopping. I’m just going to get bigger and bigger.

Daddy and I like playing with my Hotwheels ramp but sometimes we think of new ways to play to make it more exciting. Today we “up” graded it. Boy did those cars zoom down that ramp.

This morning I wanted pancakes for breakfast. But Daddy stepped up my request and made me some heart pancakes with fruit and cream. I was so happy! I had fun eating my delicious special breakfast!

Mommy and Daddy wanted to stop by a beer festival, so we headed into the city. THe weather wasn’t great, but we found a table under a tent, so we were able to stay dry.

Even though I didn’t partake in any of the beer, I had a great time. We picked up some food for me and a bunch of snacks too.
Not only did I have a lot of yummy food and snacks, but I also got to enjoy some groovy music.

I played with my magnatiles all over the house.
I also played with my bus all over the house as well.
We also checked out our garden and had quite an interesting conversation about ant eyes and ant poops and flowers and car tires and lemons. Just a typical conversation going here and there and everywhere. Wait for the end.

Walking home and then choo-choo train home and then carried home.

Daddy got off work early today, which is to say at proper quitting time, and I was kind of dragging my feet on the way home, so we all got home about the same time. Since we hadn’t started cooking dinner, Daddy suggest we just go out for dinner so we went to a nearby teishoku restaurant. They are famous for their aji (horse mackerel) fry, so I ordered one of those teishoku (set meals). It wasn’t a kids’ meal or anything, just a normal set meal intended for adults. I finished the whole thing. I even had Mommy and Daddy’s tofu and a taste of their main dishes as well.
