For some reason I felt like putting carrots into my nose. I know I’m not supposed to, but because I was told not to, I felt like doing it more. Why? Because I’m 2 going on 3. That’s just what we do.

We couldn’t go to the park today, but we still went for a walk. We went up to the prefectural office observation floor and look out onto the city. Then we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a Doctor Yellow train zooming by. It is a rare sighting and we were all very excited to see it.

Even after a long day of school, I still have to cook when I get home. Oh, so busy.

The weather was really nice today and we had a great time running in the park. Boy, did we run a lot.
At school we had gymnastics class, but I chose not to participate. I’m not really sure why, but I just didn’t want to. I decided to stand on the sidelines and just cheer my classmates on.

I approve of this meal!

As always we had a lot of fun during our weekly English lesson. But it was bittersweet because it was our last lesson with Aaron-sensei. He is moving and will not be able to teach us anymore. We will definitely miss him. I think I came out of my shell the most during our English lessons and I thank him for all the great fun we had.

Later, we got to play with oobleck. It was fun and interesting, but I was very busy because I kept insisting on washing my hands. (I’m a bit of a clean freak.). I had a lot more fun when my teacher gave me a spoon to play with. Then I pretended that I was cooking and made all kinds of dishes.

Before we started our walk we made sure to water our green pepper plant. We don’t have much at our school, especially because we are on the fourth floor of a building, but we try to take care of the plants that we have. I asked my teacher about it and she told me that it was a baby green pepper and that when it got bigger it would become a green pepper. I laughed and thought that the idea of a baby green pepper was funny.

On our walk we visited the prefectural office and there was quite a bit to see. We learned about takenoko, saw that the Girls’ Day doll display was still up, and we got to look out onto the city from the observatory.
Lying in bed after being put down to sleep I had another one of my here and there conversations with daddy. I recapped the day and talked about how I treated my friend who came over. I said that she was happy and sad. She was happy to see me and to play with me. But was sad when I didn’t share my toys with her and made a big fuss that made her feel bad. Then I talked about other friends that I want to have over to play.
Daddy was checking his watch and then I proceeded to do the same. I have a pretend watch that only I can see. Daddy asked me what time it was and I said 12. Then I told him that we should sleep and then wake up at 24. While talking about numbers There was a random twist when I told daddy that numbers are cute. He asked me which number was cute and I said all of them. He asked me which was the cutest and I answered “7?†Because I wasn’t sure. I went on to say that numbers are beautiful cute.Â

I was so excited to have my friend over and after eating lunch we were having so much fun playing. But all of a sudden I felt like pretending to be asleep. I’m not sure why I decided to do it. But my pretend sleep was interrupted by a delivery.

Daddy decided to share his beard with us so we happily let him give us parts of his beard.
I was a lot better at sharing my toys and showed her how play with some of them so that we could both have fun.

But of course, we needed snacks here and there. And musical entertainment as well.

Then it was back to playing.

We were having so much fun that even the curtain became something fun.

I was feeling very bouncy this morning. I had a lot to be excited about. My friend is coming over today and I just couldn’t contain my excitement.

Daddy got a new camera stand, but it looked surprisingly like a Japanese topknot. So I tried it on. It looks pretty good.

Overall, I eat very balanced and healthily. I love my fruits and vegetables, so I never really had a problem those. I also like rice, breads, and pasta. And of course I like my meat. I just like to eat. But little by little I’ve been discovering the sweeter side of eating. What I am allowed to eat for snacks and desserts has been expanding. Today I was allowed to have some hard candy. I really savored it! But it ended up being much of just sweetness and I didn’t finish it. I set it aside to finish later.

At the prefectural office they had a ikebana exhibit where they let us try our hand at arranging flowers. I was very focused and I think I did pretty good. Look at my flower arrangement? Nice, yeah?

After that we went to the park and ran around a lot. It was so much fun!

I rediscovered one of my Christmas presents, which was still a bit too advanced for me, but I gave it another shot. It was still a little difficult but I’m working on it and getting better at in. One of these days I’ll be able to put together my own car if I keep working at it.

We had another great English lesson today. I always enjoy them!

On our walk today we saw a cat in the park and it was the focus of everything. It was a huge thing for all of us and we all were happy to just see a cat up close.
