Rain gear shopping

We decided that it was time for me to have some proper rain gear for when it rains. I’m getting to big to carry when it rains. Not only am I bigger and heavier, but trying to manage an umbrella to keep me dry is really hard for Mommy and Daddy. So if I have my own rain gear I can keep dry and give Mommy and Daddy a break at the same time.

Breakfast or dessert

We went out for breakfast today. But I must have ordered wrong because while I ordered toast and a hard-boiled egg, Mommy ordered what looked like a dessert. It was a pastry with ice cream on top. But it was only a mini order and of course she shared with me. We enjoy our “breakfasts” (read: dessert in the A.M.).

Morning wheels

There isn’t a day when I don’t play with some wheels. Or a morning for that matter. This morning was no different. Well, until a delivery arrived with a new set of wheels. We got a wagon! It is not actually supposed to be to carry me. It is supposed to be to carry bags and food when we go to the very large park for a picnic or something. But I have a feeling that I’ll be riding in it a lot.

Last day of the school year

Today was the last day of the school year. A lot of the day was just like any other day. We went to the park, we had a lot of fun, it was a great day.

But I found out that my teacher will not be coming back next year. I was quite sad to hear that. She has been my teacher these two years and has really helped me a lot. She was always kind and patient with me, and knew exactly how to deal with my outbursts and tantrums. I’m really going to miss her. She was big part of my life and my growing up. I wish her the best and hope I can see her again.

What a great school year! It seemed to have gone by really fast. Look how much I have grown!

Talking to Caitie on my imaginary phone

I like to pretend that I have a phone like Mommy and Daddy do. I sometimes pretend to check things on it or talk on it. This morning when I went to school I got a call from Caitie, who is on one of my shows, and she asked me to greet people when I see them. So when I got to school I said “Ohayo” to my teacher. Everybody was so proud of me! I got a call from Caitie tonight telling me that I did a great job and asking me to keep up the good work.

Doctor Yellow sighting

We couldn’t go to the park today, but we still went for a walk. We went up to the prefectural office observation floor and look out onto the city. Then we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a Doctor Yellow train zooming by. It is a rare sighting and we were all very excited to see it.

Goodbye Aaron-sensei

As always we had a lot of fun during our weekly English lesson. But it was bittersweet because it was our last lesson with Aaron-sensei. He is moving and will not be able to teach us anymore. We will definitely miss him. I think I came out of my shell the most during our English lessons and I thank him for all the great fun we had.

Later, we got to play with oobleck. It was fun and interesting, but I was very busy because I kept insisting on washing my hands. (I’m a bit of a clean freak.). I had a lot more fun when my teacher gave me a spoon to play with. Then I pretended that I was cooking and made all kinds of dishes.

Watering plants at school

Before we started our walk we made sure to water our green pepper plant. We don’t have much at our school, especially because we are on the fourth floor of a building, but we try to take care of the plants that we have. I asked my teacher about it and she told me that it was a baby green pepper and that when it got bigger it would become a green pepper. I laughed and thought that the idea of a baby green pepper was funny.

On our walk we visited the prefectural office and there was quite a bit to see. We learned about takenoko, saw that the Girls’ Day doll display was still up, and we got to look out onto the city from the observatory.

Bedtime recap

Lying in bed after being put down to sleep I had another one of my here and there conversations with daddy. I recapped the day and talked about how I treated my friend who came over. I said that she was happy and sad. She was happy to see me and to play with me. But was sad when I didn’t share my toys with her and made a big fuss that made her feel bad. Then I talked about other friends that I want to have over to play.

Daddy was checking his watch and then I proceeded to do the same. I have a pretend watch that only I can see. Daddy asked me what time it was and I said 12. Then I told him that we should sleep and then wake up at 24. While talking about numbers There was a random twist when I told daddy that numbers are cute. He asked me which number was cute and I said all of them. He asked me which was the cutest and I answered “7?” Because I wasn’t sure. I went on to say that numbers are beautiful cute.

Friend visit

I was so excited to have my friend over and after eating lunch we were having so much fun playing. But all of a sudden I felt like pretending to be asleep. I’m not sure why I decided to do it. But my pretend sleep was interrupted by a delivery.

Daddy decided to share his beard with us so we happily let him give us parts of his beard.

I was a lot better at sharing my toys and showed her how play with some of them so that we could both have fun.

But of course, we needed snacks here and there. And musical entertainment as well.

Then it was back to playing.

We were having so much fun that even the curtain became something fun.

Candy

Overall, I eat very balanced and healthily. I love my fruits and vegetables, so I never really had a problem those. I also like rice, breads, and pasta. And of course I like my meat. I just like to eat. But little by little I’ve been discovering the sweeter side of eating. What I am allowed to eat for snacks and desserts has been expanding. Today I was allowed to have some hard candy. I really savored it! But it ended up being much of just sweetness and I didn’t finish it. I set it aside to finish later.
