When I tell Alexa that I like her, she sings a special song to me. Then I do a special dance to that song.
Red light, Green light

At the park today we played Darumasan ga koronda, which is like red light green light. It was a lot of fun to play the game, but for the most part we just enjoyed running around.
At school, I’m expressing myself more and more. I tell my teachers and friends about my likes and dislikes. Recently I have been telling everyone, “I like bananas!”
I also show affection more and more. When my friend sits next to me and sometimes lean over and give them a hug.
Morning ready
Waking in the middle of the night

I often get up in the middle of the night and when I realize I’m alone in bed I seek out Mommy. Not Daddy, only Mommy. I groggily stagger over to her, get a big hug, and get taken back to bed, feeling safe and happy again. I usually quickly fall right back asleep.

Running around the park

There were a lot of smiles today when we ran around the park. It is so good to get out and stretch our legs.

TOday at school when I was playing with blocks I made a carwash. I narrated to my teacher what I was doing, talking about the soap suds on the car and rinsing it with water. After the wash I dried the cars off with a cloth. My teacher was impressed with the range of service my carwash provided, but she was more surprised when I went so far as to fill the car with gasoline as well. Just a little extra service at Mason’s carwash.
Pretend talking to Nana and Papa
Hard-boiled egg

I like eggs a lot. But I especially like hard-boiled eggs. Maybe it is because that is the first way I ate eggs when I was a baby. They are so simple and delicious. Now, I even like cracking the hard-boiled eggs open. It is a fun process for delicious food.
Walk and a view

We had a nice walk today and then we headed to the prefectural office. We went up to the observation deck to see what we could see. I don’t know what my classmates saw, but I saw a lot of cool cars!
Dinner and counting

Sandbox

What a nice sunny day to play in the park. I had a lot of fun in the sandbox.
Haircut

It was that time again. Haircut time. I don’t like haircuts because it gets very prickly. Maybe it is because I refuse to wear the smock that keeps the hair off of me. At least I get to eat some jelly and watch some YouTube. Oh, and I get a pretty descent haircut in the end.
Breaching
Car washing

Daddy and I decided to wash the car today. I’m such a big boy now that I’m much more a big help than before. I washed and rinsed all kinds of parts of the car. I wasn’t exactly consistent about where I washed, but I at least got some parts very clean.

“I love you, sweety-pie”
My new phrase of the week has been “I love you, sweety-pie”. Nana often calls me “Sweety-pie” and after our chat last week I have been using the same phrase at home. I tell Mommy and Daddy “I love you, sweety-pie”.
