After we got back from the park I wasn’t ready to go back in the house, so I decided to squeeze in a bit of driving practice. After all, practice makes perfect.

I was so happy with the new firetruck I got from the restaurant that when we went to the park today, I just had to bring it along with me. I had fun playing with it around the park, up and down the slide, and even on our walk back home.

On our walk back home after the nursery school graduation ceremony we ran into my friends. They were headed out to breakfast/lunch and asked if we would join them. I eagerly said yes. We all headed to a nearby family restaurant. I ate a hearty second breakfast, let’s just call it brunch, and then I had fun playing with my friends. We all got to choose toys with our meals and we all chose firetrucks. I always have fun playing with my classmates at school, but it was nice to hangout outside of school as well.

We had a nice walk home as well. My friend thought we were both going home to the same place but unfortunately we had to part ways. It will be fine because I’ll see him again on Monday.

My nursery school had a graduation ceremony for the elder class, Hoshi (Star) Class. We have three classes of different age groups, from youngest to oldest, Umi (ocean), Sora (Sky), which is my class, and Hoshi (Star) class. It was a very nice ceremony but I was a little sad because that class will not be here next school year (starting in April) and I have a lot of friends there. And I also realized that in a year that will be me up there leaving my nursery school. I think I’m growing up a bit too quickly and I’d like to slow time down just a bit.
*Daddy note: Me too!
Daddy was gone on a business trip yesterday and I was asleep before he got home. So when I woke up I was very happy to see him. I was also very happy to see the toy he got me from Haneda airport. It was a ANA set. I already have a JAL set from a previous business trip. Maybe if he goes on more business trips I’ll get all the airlines in Japan. Nah, I’d rather just have Daddy stay at home.

While eating a mandarin orange I was suddenly struck with the need to show Obachan the picture of me eating the mandarin orange. I asked Mommy to send the picture to Obachan. She said she would but I insisted that she send it NOW. It was so good that I just had to share.
The mandarin orange was so good that I almost forgot that I had said that I was going to share it with Mommy. I gave her a very small piece after I ate almost the whole thing.
I also had a good laugh later on and my first thought was to tell Obachan about it. I guess I was in a sharing-with-Obachan mood.
When I tell Alexa that I like her, she sings a special song to me. Then I do a special dance to that song.

At the park today we played Darumasan ga koronda, which is like red light green light. It was a lot of fun to play the game, but for the most part we just enjoyed running around.
At school, I’m expressing myself more and more. I tell my teachers and friends about my likes and dislikes. Recently I have been telling everyone, “I like bananas!”
I also show affection more and more. When my friend sits next to me and sometimes lean over and give them a hug.

I often get up in the middle of the night and when I realize I’m alone in bed I seek out Mommy. Not Daddy, only Mommy. I groggily stagger over to her, get a big hug, and get taken back to bed, feeling safe and happy again. I usually quickly fall right back asleep.

Treats after dinner.
Thinking about Obachan.
Silly sounds.

There were a lot of smiles today when we ran around the park. It is so good to get out and stretch our legs.

TOday at school when I was playing with blocks I made a carwash. I narrated to my teacher what I was doing, talking about the soap suds on the car and rinsing it with water. After the wash I dried the cars off with a cloth. My teacher was impressed with the range of service my carwash provided, but she was more surprised when I went so far as to fill the car with gasoline as well. Just a little extra service at Mason’s carwash.

I like eggs a lot. But I especially like hard-boiled eggs. Maybe it is because that is the first way I ate eggs when I was a baby. They are so simple and delicious. Now, I even like cracking the hard-boiled eggs open. It is a fun process for delicious food.

We had a nice walk today and then we headed to the prefectural office. We went up to the observation deck to see what we could see. I don’t know what my classmates saw, but I saw a lot of cool cars!

What a nice sunny day to play in the park. I had a lot of fun in the sandbox.

It was that time again. Haircut time. I don’t like haircuts because it gets very prickly. Maybe it is because I refuse to wear the smock that keeps the hair off of me. At least I get to eat some jelly and watch some YouTube. Oh, and I get a pretty descent haircut in the end.

Daddy and I decided to wash the car today. I’m such a big boy now that I’m much more a big help than before. I washed and rinsed all kinds of parts of the car. I wasn’t exactly consistent about where I washed, but I at least got some parts very clean.
