Nice day

Early morning couch jumping.

Airplane couch landing.

Snack time.

Already got shoes on, so army crawling back into the house.

Relaxing.

Daddy is a turtle.

Riding the bus to dinner and holding Daddy’s hand.

Yummy corn potage.
During botcha time tonight I discovered that I could make my sponge toys fly by squeezing them. I had a lot of fun. They were just popping out of my hands all over the place.
“I love you, sweety-pie”
My new phrase of the week has been “I love you, sweety-pie”. Nana often calls me “Sweety-pie” and after our chat last week I have been using the same phrase at home. I tell Mommy and Daddy “I love you, sweety-pie”.
Fart attack
Mommy and Daddy were putting me down for bed and we were chatting as usual. Then I got up and sat on Mommy’s tummy and announced, “fart”. Then I farted on her. It was a surprise fart attack. Mommy and Daddy were very surprised and burst out laughing. After a moment I then announced, “smelly”. Mommy and Daddy are wondering where I learned that but I didn’t learn it anywhere, it is a Mason original.
Talking with Alexa

I had fun telling Alexa that I liked her because she always appreciates it and plays some fun music. I came up with a bunch of my own dance moves to match her music.
Benesse and kitchen

Every so often we get some free samples from Benesse and they often have a book and some activities. I always enjoy those freebies. Today I combined them with my Mercedes and had a lot of fun.

After playing I helped Mommy with some cooking. She always appreciates my help.
Bus stop walk

We went for a nice walk today and checked out the bus stop. We were really excited to just see buses. What a fun walk.

Couch backflip
“Mommy look at me, look at me!”
Mimizaur

Just starting up my Mimizaur brushing teeth app. It is a cool entertaining timer. I can also dress him up in different outfits and accessories.
Water puddle

Who put this big water puddle in the park? It is oh so tempting to go splashing around in it. But our teacher told us that we can’t unless we have rain boots. Shucks. No rain boots. I’d better go get some.
Sleep cooking

Yep, just cooking in our sleep.

Prefectural office visit

On our walk we visited the prefectural office. On our way there we saw cats in the park and made sure to stop and say hi. Then we headed up to the top so that we could have a great view of the city.

While there looking out upon the city I had some questions for my teacher. I asked her where her house was and what that green building is and commented about the cute butterfly hairclip she had. I like to talk to my teachers and let them know what is on my mind.
Alexa send off
Some mornings when we leave for school I tell Alexa that I’m heading out and she sings me a farewell. That’s nice of her.
Into bed

I have a lot of routines in my life. My bedtime routine has changed a bit, but is now pretty consistent. After books and brushing teeth, when it is time to turn in, I start off with a piggyback ride from Daddy. We ask Alexa to turn off the lights and then we say “Oyasumi“. We head to the bedroom where we look at the cat on Mommy’s jewelry hanger. Then Daddy collapses into bed. I roll off him and he pretends that he can’t find me. Then he goes on all fours and then I climb up on him and then roll, or fall, off. Then it is my job to turn off the lights. Then we watch a couple of Super Simple Songs.
After that I am supposed to go to sleep, but I usually roll around a lot and talk a lot and ask a lot of questions. Eventually I get around to closing my eyes and going to sleep…but it usually takes a while. I’m in bed before nine, and on good days I’m asleep before ten.

Hand painting and gymnastic observation

We did hand painting in school today. At first I didn’t like the feeling of the paint on my hand. I have always been quite finicky about being clean. Even at home I never got into finger-painting or anything like that. It even took me a long time to get used to playing in the sand because I kept wanting to wipe my hands clean. But after a while I got used to the paint and had fun. I made some pretty cool hand prints too.
We had a gymnastics class again today, and again I opted to observe the class from the sidelines. I’m quite hesitant…resistant…well, let’s just say it: stubborn. I decided not to try this new thing and I’m sticking to my decision. My teachers are very understanding and don’t push, but they always ask if I want to participate. I always say that I want to watch.
