Today we went for a walk to the prefectural office. I requested to hold my teachers hand today. I like the contact. At the prefectural office we all got excited about the menu at the restaurant. We did a lot of pretend eating but I did not get full at all.

Back at school our school lunch took told me that I eat the most at our school and she can always count on me to eat up everything she cooks. My eating seems to give her purpose. I’m glad I can make her happy with my eating habits.

Today was a rainy day so we had indoor activities at school. During our rhythmic activity we practiced galloping. It is easier than skipping but much harder than just running. We did pretty good and burned a lot of calories. We were quite exhausted after we were done.

We also did some crafts. It will be Hina Matsuri (Girls’ Day) in a couple of weeks so we made some hina ningyo (dolls). I’m quite proud of my dolls. I was able to paste all the face parts in pretty much the right position.

Later on we played on the gym mats. We did some running around and also climbed the mat mountains that our teachers made.

Watching Despicable Me

I try to watch movies here and there. Some movies I love instantly, like Totoro and the Lego Movies. Other movies I try to watch over and over again, but never get through it, like Cars and Finding Nemo. Today we watched Despicable Me and I loved it. I watched the whole thing and was thoroughly entertained! Those little yellow Minions sure are funny! And boy can they sing!

Taking House to the park

Today I wanted to bring House to the park with me. I felt bad leaving him home alone. So I packed him in my backpack and off we went.

He had a fun time watching me play at the park.

I also brought my toy pickup truck. I had fun playing with it on the slide and on different surfaces in the park.

I also played with bubbles too.

Toast and pastries

Every so often we like to go out for breakfast. There is this nice coffee shop that offers free toast and hardboiled eggs with a drink order. The food is great, and Mommy and Daddy seem to enjoy the coffee a lot. But I like it even more when Mommy orders a pastry with ice cream on it and shares it with me. Yum!

Oh, and there is a tiny play area near the restaurant where I can work off the calories.

Daddy explains why ice floats

I’m a very curious boy and I ask a lot of questions. Sometimes they are very difficult questions to answer when explaining to a two year old. I asked Daddy why ice floats. Daddy did his best to explain it to me and I did my best to understand…but it didn’t stick. So Daddy reverted to the short answer, “science”.

We decided to go to the park and I wanted to try out Daddy’s shoes. It turns out that I’m still not big enough for them, so I just wore my own shoes and off to the park we went.

I had fun playing on the slide and playing follow the leader with Daddy. We even fetched sticks for a bit.

Of course with all the fun we were having I needed to reenergize and had a bit of a snack. Then it was back to playing.

I also played a bit with an ant that tickled me when climbing up my arm.

Bloody nose

Daddy and I dropped Mommy off for an appointment and when we got home he was very surprised, if not shocked, by what he saw. I had a severe bloody nose. The air has been very dry and I often pick my nose. I guess I went mining a little to deep. I didn’t say anything to Daddy about it during the 5 minute drive home so he was very shocked to see all that red on my face. But we got me cleaned up and I was fine. Yeah, maybe I should ease up on the nose picking.

Curious George, school bus cleaning, making lunch

I have my favorite videos on Super Simple Songs and I also like watch Tayo which is about a bus and Titipo which is about a train. However, recently, I started to like to watch Curious George as well. Since the shows are a bit longer, I usually only watch Curious George on the weekends.

You’d be surprised how dirty my toy cars get even though they never leave the house. I love cleaning cars like Carl does on Carl’s Carwash. Most of my HotWheels and Tomica can fit through my carwash garage, but the larger toy vehicles need to be cleaned by hand.

I wanted sandwiches for lunch so I helped Daddy make a bunch of them. I had ham and cheese, butter and jam, and honey sandwiches. They were fun to make and delicious to eat!

Walk and prefectural office visit

We went for a nice walk today and saw a lot of pretty plum blossoms. We also visited the prefectural office top floor so that we could see out into the city. There were so many cars to see that I was very excited and happy.

I was, however, a bit difficult when we got back to school. We had to take off our jackets and all of a sudden I said that I couldn’t do it. My teacher offered to help and when I said I need help one of the older classmates was kind enough to offer a hand. I sometimes get worked up and claim that I can’t do something, even though I had done it many times before. I guess that sometimes I just want to be taken care of.
