Happy birthday to Baaba

It was Baaba’s birthday so I decided to get her some pretty flowers! But when we were at the flower shop, I spotted some plastic lemons that I thought she would love, so I got that instead of flowers. Daddy convinced me to get some other plastic flowers as well, but I was insistent on getting her the lemons. When I gave them to her, she was so happy to get a gift picked out by me. And it was obvious that I chose her gift on my own. I was so happy that she liked it. I also helped give her the gift that Mommy got for her, too.

I wanted to go to the park so everyone came with me and was very interested to see how I played at the park. They were very impressed by my sliding skills!

Besides showing off sliding, I was not very inclusive of everyone. I just wanted to play with Daddy. So when Jiiji, Baaba, and Obachan tried to play with me I turned them away with a firm “No!”. It was not very nice of me. But I did let everyone watch me play. I just did not necessarily want to play with them. I’m working on that.

After the park we sang Happy Birthday to Baaba and had delicious cake!

It was a such a fun day to spend with everyone. Everyone was very impressed with how much I have grown and how much I can do. Even though it was Baaba’s birthday celebration, I kind of stole the show.

Describing my haircuts

When talking to Jiiji, Baaba, and Obachan today, my haircuts came up. I explained to them what those are like. I explained to them that I get to watch YouTube and eat some special dessert like jello or ice cream. I was very emphatic about not liking the hair clipper noise, but let them know that I did enjoy the special rewards I got.

English lesson and walk

We had a fun English lesson today! We studied colors and I could recite all of them without any problem!

We also went for a nice walk in the park. There were many pretty plum blossoms to see. Sure, the ones on the trees were pretty, but I was more interested in the petals on the ground.

Back at school, we played with construction blocks and when I noticed a friend looking for a particular piece or part, I would find it for them and give it to them saying, “Here you go.” Then my friends would return the favor and I would thank them. We got along very well and remembered our manners.

Prefectural office visit

It wasn’t raining today so we were able to go for our walk, but the ground was still very wet so we couldn’t go to the park. We went to the prefectural office instead.

There were some pretty flowers on display that we enjoyed looking at.

There was even a Hinamatsuri (Girls’ Day) display up, so we took a cute little group photo.

Gestar

After our walk today, we came back to school and played with Gestars. They are these slotted discs that you can connect to make all kinds of creations. I really enjoy playing with them and get in the zone when making things.

Bedtime book in my blanket “bus”

I’ve been doing a lot of things in my “bus” recently. Since it is cold when I get out of the bath, Daddy sometimes throws the blanket over us when he dresses me in my pajamas. I tell him it is like being in a bus. So now I like to do a lot of things in my blanket bus. We even read my bedtime books in the bus. It is nice and warm, but a bit dark. There are some books that Daddy has a hard time reading because he can’t see the words. Still, I love being able to do so many things in my “bus”

Stuffed animals

When Daddy comes home from work, often one of the first things I say is, “House talk to Daddy.” I like it when Daddy has conversations with House. It allows me to hear about Daddy’s day, and House’s, and then jump in and share things about my own day. But there are days when I get all my stuffed animals involved and we all play together. It is a lot of fun, but I think it is hard for Daddy to keep track of all the voices he has to do.

Rainy day activities

Today was a rainy day so we had to stay inside. We were read some books and sang some songs.

We had our rhythmic session where we marched around like trains on a track to music.

We also played with clay. I had fun making all sorts of things, but I also enjoyed being nice to my friends. I shared the knife I was using and offered it to my friend saying, “Here, you can use this.” When my friends shared with me I thanked them politely. It is so nice to share.
