Shrine visit

We met up with Baaba, Jiiji, and Obachan and visited a shrine together. It was different than the shrine we usually go to. There was this weird mouth passageway, which it is known for. The weather wasn’t great, but we still had fun.

After the shrine visit we all came home and had lunch together.

Baaba, Jiiji, and Obachan are always happy to see me and surprised at how much I’ve grown. They are especially impressed by how much I have to say these days. I can be quite the chatterbox when I’m with familiar company.

Hamburger truck

I got a hamburger truck yesterday. I have wanted it for quite some time now. I have a calendar that shows different Tomica (read Japan HotWheels) every day. I skipped ahead and saw that there is a hamburger truck. I’ve been wanting it for a while. So I dipped into my savings and we went to buy the hamburger truck. I was so happy! My favorite toy combined with my favorite food. It doesn’t get better than this.

Starbucks?

I mentioned before how Daddy treats Mommy to new drinks at Starbucks and I like to get a taste. But sometimes there are drinks that I can’t drink, like ones with nuts. (I haven’t tried nuts yet so we don’t know whether or not I’m allergic). In those cases, Mommy and Daddy make sure I have my own special drink so I don’t feel left out. Today I got some Qoo apple jelly drink.

Hamburger sandwich

Often when I’m asked what I want to eat I will answer “hamburgers”. I really love hamburgers. So I was so happy when Mommy made hamburgers for dinner tonight. We didn’t have hamburger buns, but I’m there for the meat so I didn’t mind at all.

I ate everything up and was still hungry so I had some blueberry yogurt for dessert.

Kites

We went to the park to fly our kites today. They didn’t exactly soar, but we had fun running around with them. With all the running around we ended up playing chase. I would tell my friends, “I’m going to run away” and they would respond by saying, “Okay, I’ll chase you!”

Drink and burp

Daddy stopped by the convenience store on his way home today and got us all special drinks. I drank mine eagerly and quickly. Too quickly actually. I was trying to tell Mommy and Daddy that I understood that this drink was special and I wouldn’t get it every day, but in the middle of my sentence I let out a loud unexpected burp. It was very funny. Mommy and Daddy were joking with me about it.

English lesson and park

I really enjoy our weekly English lessons at school. Of course the English part comes easy to me, but I like the stories, quizzes and songs too!

There was a lot to explore on our walk today. We had fun playing in the sand but also ran around a lot. We were pretending to be lions and chased our teachers around.

Happy at home

Despite being difficult at school today, I was very happy at home. I ate a good dinner and then even got to eat some dessert (leftovers from the weekend). Then I played with Mommy!

And I had fun playing with Daddy when he came home. I’m just happy at home.

Prefectural office and clay

We went to visit the prefectural office and see some nice flowers today. It was a nice walk, but it did not start off well for me. I was being difficult and said that I didn’t want to put my shoes on by myself. But when my teacher offered to help me, I refused her help. Even after the nice walk my mood did not improve. The same thing happened for taking my jacket and hat off. I was being very difficult. But I found a way to change my mood by suggesting we play with clay and then I calmed down. Things are still difficult, but I’m slowly learning how to try and find ways to get myself out of my bad moods.

Snowy day

It was a snowy day today, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time flying our kites in the park. In fact, it was so much fun that when our teachers told us that it was time to go back, I said, “No! I’m not going back!” It was just too much fun.

I was snowing even more when Mommy picked me up from school.

Fire drill and coloring

Today we had a fire drill. As usual, we listened intently as our teachers explained what to do in case of a fire or earthquake. After the instruction we also practiced how to protect ourselves. We all did very well.

It was a rainy day today so we couldn’t go out for a walk. Instead we stayed in and colored.

I had fun using a lot of different colors, but I also wanted specific drawings so I ask me teacher for help. I asked her to draw an ANA airplane and she did a great job that left me smiling satisfied.

Sweets and fun with a friend

When my friend came over, one of the first things we did was prepare today’s dessert. We each got our own flavor of Fruiche (fruit yogurt mix) and we did a very good job mixing it. It looked so delicious that it was hard to wait for it to firm up before we ate it. So we both had a lollipop while we waited.

And I showed her how to use our Echo Show.

I showed her how to drive with my Anpanman steering wheel and she showed me how to sing rock songs.

We also got trapped in Daddy’s trap but we also learned how to unlock it to release our selves and each other.

We had a great time together and there were no tears or crying this time. Everyone was all smiles! Of course, this is just a short summary of what we did because we also played a lot of other things. It is always fun to see my friend! It gets more and more fun now that I’m slowly learning how to share more.

Oh, and the Fruiche dessert was delicious!
