Pre-dinner and dinner

After a long school day, I just want to sit back, relax, and watch some TV. Mommy is nice enough to do all the cooking to allow me this much needed me-time. Then I get to enjoy the wonderful meal that she prepares. Thank you, Mommy!

Shrine visit

On our school walk we visited the nearby shrine. I was not that excited since I had just been there a couple of days ago. But there were some new things to see. We all enjoyed looking at the different stalls that lined the streets nearby. We also enjoyed a monkey performance. Boy that is

Winter time baths

The hardest thing about winter time baths is getting out of the bath. It is so nice and warm in the bath that coming out is quite a shock. I don’t even want to get unwrapped from my towel to put clothes on. It is just too cold!

Mommy and Daddy at the park

I always have fun at the park, but today I made extra sure that Mommy and Daddy also joined in on the fun. They had a ton of fun, but I think I may have worn them out. I might have to take their age into consideration next time.

Gloves

We headed out to dinner, but the weather turned cold real fast. I was pretty cold so we stopped by a store and found these awesome police car gloves to keep my hands warm. I was very happy to have them! With my toasty gloves on, I did not mind the walk to the restaurant

Hatsumode

We went to a nearby shrine for hatsumode, or the first shrine visit of the year. Before we went Daddy was trying to teach me how to pray at the shrine. I did pretty good, but added my own silly twist to it. The shrine visit went well. I even got my fortune and it

Magnatile car transporter

Recently, there is more cross over with my toys when I play with them. One of my favorite things to do is make houses and car transporters for my HotWheels out of Magnatiles. I sometimes have Daddy make things for me based on the pictures on the box, but other times I come up with

Reach out and touch someone

I really miss Nana and Papa since we’ve been back in Japan. I have been asking about where they are. Daddy tells me they are in Hawaii, but I still don’t quite understand why they weren’t on the flight to Japan with us. It was nice to chat with them today, but it is not

Wanting to review my dancing

I am so curious about how I look in videos that I often can’t wait until the video is finished being taken before I want to view it. I just want to make sure I look good.

Building, cooking, viewing

Some days we have no particular plans so I just find fun things to do around the house. The nice thing is that I can jump from activity to activity in short intervals and always come back to something later on.

Posing

I can be a bit of a goofball sometimes. Sometimes I just have to make a funny/silly/dramatic pose when saying something simple. Like today when I said samui, or cold, I had to add a bit of kabuki flair to it.

Starbucks treat

Whenever Starbucks comes out with a new drink, Daddy likes to treat Mommy to it. Usually that means that I get a taste too. Although when I’m supposed to just have a “sip” a large portion of the drink disappears.

Hakata ramen

Hawaii has great food, but for the best ramen you can’t find better than Japan. Especially Hakata ramen! Oh so delicious!

Breakfast and cooking

A big day starts with a hearty breakfast. On the weekend, that is usually a breakfast that is endless. After I finish eating I just keep asking for more food. Today I topped off my breakfast with untoasted toast…yeah, so just bread. Then it was my turn to cook with my cooking set that I

Pre-bath delay tactics

I have different ways to put off going to bed. Once of the most effective ways is to use delay tactics whenever possible. Like right before bath when Daddy takes my shirt off, I ask him to make it into a hat. Then of course I have to show Mommy. Then if I have a

Karuta, Sandbox, and

We played Karuta at school today. It is a card game often played at new years where you try to find the card that is called out. I had fun and did really well. However, I was not that into it when it was not my turn. Not really a spectator sport for me. At

“Uncle”

We were getting ready for bed and we were having another one of our conversations where we talk about a lot of random things. We were talking about names and Daddy asked me what his name was. In Hawaii we had a similar conversation where he told me everyone’s first name and explained that our names were
