Window (car) shopping

Today we went shopping for a new jacket. I didn’t like the other jackets I tried on so when we found the exact same jacket that I have now in a larger size I was thrilled. This is what I like and I’m sticking to it. But while shopping for my jacket, I decided to do some window shopping for more cars…just in case I needed more.

Mommy went out

Mommy went out to see a friend, so it was just me and Daddy at home. I was really well behaved and no problem at all. But we did have to make some adjustments to our routine. I told Daddy that I didn’t need a shirt hat (where he makes my shirt into a hat right before I take a bath) because Mommy wasn’t home so I had no one to show it off to. I also mentioned that since Mommy wasn’t home she couldn’t read me a book so I suggested that Daddy read me two books. He readily agreed. To show that I was aware of the situation I told Daddy that since Mommy was not home that he would put me to bed, but I reminded him that tomorrow night we’ll be back to our usual routine. He of course understood and was prepared for all this. Even though I missed Mommy and mentioned her absence several times, Daddy and I had a great time and we got to bed without any issues.

Park fun

We had a great time playing at the park! We played on the rockers, we went down the slide, and we played with bubbles. It was a lot of fun, but it started out with me being unreasonable and a little bit mean. Mommy was watching Daddy and I play on the see-saw and for some reason I didn’t like it. Not only did I tell her to go away, I actually escorted her far far away.

Daddy had a talk with me and I understood that I was not being nice and I went to bring Mommy back so that she could join in on the fun.

“Yessir”

Daddy and I play a lot and hangout a lot. So naturally we have a lot of inside jokes and a certain way to do things. Daddy was trying to get me to stop being bossy and just telling people to “Stop.” He said, he will understand if I want him to stop singing a song, but I just have to ask nicely. If I say “Stop please” he said he will say “Yessir”. I thought that was a fun and cute way to practice being more polite.

Mommy heard about this and tried to do the same. When I asked her to “Stop please” she said “Yessir” and boy did I get mad at her. I forbade her from saying that. “Yessir” is Daddy’s and my thing. Daddy said it was okay if Mommy did the same and tried to convince me to just let her do it as well, but I was hearing nothing of it. Mommy had to come up with her own thing.

Daddy suggested that she say “Kashikomarimashita” which is like “I got it” or “Heard and understood.” I thought that was the funniest thing when she said it. I would laugh and laugh, saying “Funny!”

Sliding

We went to the park today and we all played on the slide. I love the slide, but I had to get used to the fact that there were other kids who wanted to slide as well. When my teacher reminded me that we had to take turns I was quick to agree, “Yes, take turns.”
