Hard boiled eggs

I like all kinds of eggs. Surprisingly, I like hard boiled eggs too. I don’t even mind the yolk. At one of our breakfast spots they have great hard boiled eggs and I learned to eat them from a young age. Now I’m even able to peel them myself.

Fun at the park

We had fun running around at the park and just being silly.

And, like I said before, “No, I don’t have a girlfriend. She is just a friend.”

Although, when her class had to leave early to head back to school I was very upset and then I started crying. My teacher came over to console me and understood that I still wanted to hold her hand. She explained to me that we would see her soon when we headed back to school. The rest of my time at the park I had my teacher carry me and console me. I was quite sad and lonely…but she’s not my girlfriend.

Walk and event space

The weather was really nice today so we had a nice long walk. There was so much to see outside. I especially enjoyed spotting and watching all the different cars that drove by.

We went to the prefectural office that had displays and vegetable stands that we were very interested in.

When we got back to school I had fun playing with blocks. I told my teacher all the things that I was building. ”This is parking” and “This is a tunnel”. As you can see, it was all car themed.

Big chair

Some days I don’t want to sit in my high chair. It is getting a bit small for me. Sometimes I want to sit on Mommy or Daddy’s lap, but other times I just want to sit in a big chair like a big boy. Look, it’s just the right height.

Carbonara pasta

Today I wanted pasta for dinner. Usually we have packages of premade sauces but today I wanted a sauce that we didn’t have. I wanted carbonara. The reason was that Daddy was listing off pastas and when I heard “carbonara” I said that I wanted that. I’ve had it before at a restaurant, but I don’t usually have it at home. Mommy took up the challenge and made carbonara from scratch. It was delicious! Maybe I’ll make a habit of asking for foods that we don’t have packaged in the house so I can have Mommy’s version of it. Yum!

Playing and singing

I really get into a zone when I play with my cars. I can just sit there and play with them for hours. Sometimes I start to sing while playing. I sing the songs that I learn from my shows. I like having a playmate, but it is nice that I can play by myself as well.

Baaba and sushi

We had a visit from Baaba today. She was very happy to see me. We chatted and played, and somehow ended up on the floor in a corner. Don’t ask me why. We just go where the flow of play takes us.

Later we went out for dinner and I wanted to give Mommy a taste of my food, er more like my finger. I don’t think she appreciated the fine Mason cuisine.

Crying

I wish I could say that everyday was filled with nothing by smiles and laughter, but that is not the case. There are tears here and there. And when I cry, boy do those tears come out fast. It is all part of growing up. I’m having to learn that I cannot always get everything I want and that the world is not here just for me. It is a hard lesson to learn, but I’m glad I’m learning it now instead of when I’m grown up. I have a feeling it is easier to learn as a kid.

McDonald’s with Daddy

Mommy had something she had to do today, so it was just Daddy and me for lunch. Daddy asked me what I wanted to eat for lunch and I quickly answered “hamburger”. So we went to McDonald’s and I had a Happy Meal. It delivered as promised and made me happy. I ate everything, of course. Daddy and I also had a lot of fun conversations. We did not talk about anything of significance, but we enjoyed our conversation.

Pre-breakfast and beard off

I woke up in a really good mood this morning because I knew it was the weekend. That means we have a pretty relaxed morning with no rushing to get ready to go to school. So I just chilled on the couch with a pre-breakfast while Daddy got my real breakfast ready.

Then after I finished eating my breakfast I was having fun with Daddy and pretended to take my beard off with my chopsticks and put it in my plate. Yep, that’s fun for us.

Acorn maracas, mat play, and petting

Today we made acorn maracas at school. We had collected a lot of acorns at the park and we put them into plastic bottles. Then we could shake them to make music. We had a lot of fun making quite a racket with them and dancing around to the music we made

We also had some mat play today. I’m getting better and better at jumping. My feet actually leave the ground.

I like to hang out with the younger class at school sometimes. This morning I went to their area and when up to each and everyone of the babies and patted them gently on their heads. Then I ask my teacher to do the same. Even though I can be stubborn and selfish with my classmates, sometimes getting physical, I’m always very kind and gentle with the little kids and babies.

Morning playtime

Look who got ready really quickly and had time to play this morning! Usually I take a while to get going so I don’t have that much time to play, but today I ate my breakfast quickly and did not fuss when it came time to change clothes and brush my teeth. And as a result I had more time to have fun.

English class and a walk

Today I had fun during English class at school. I laughed a lot and had fun dancing to the English songs. Or for me, just “songs”. I’m not necessarily learning anything new, but I am having fun in a comfortable language.

We also went for a walk today. I was about to be in a bad mood when we walked by a curry restaurant and I perked up. I just pretended to eat food and it gave me the energy I needed to finish our walk.
