Peacefully sleeping

Ah, Mommy took a picture of me sleeping. How embarrassing. But don’t I look peaceful?
Halloween dinner

Mommy made me a special Halloween dinner. She made my omurice into a cool little Jack-o-lantern. Not only did it look cool, it was also delicious!
I was not a fan of the mozuku though. It was a bit sour.

We went trick-or-treating to elderly homes today. But instead of getting treats, we went to give treats and smiles. We were all supposed to wear our Halloween capes, but typical of me, I refused to get dressed up. But I did enjoy spreading the joy to the elderly with our smiles.
Fire engine pants

This morning I wanted to wear fire engine pants, but I don’t have fire engine pants. So I made fire engine pants. Pretty cool, huh?
Sleeping shrimp

Apparently Daddy and I both sleep like shrimp. Interesting.
Raisin bread

I like raisin bread, but sometimes we don’t have at home. So, when in a pinch I make my own. I get some raisins and shove them into dinner rolls that we have.

Mason sad, not happy
It is hard to deal with all these emotions as you are growing up. Mommy and Daddy are always trying to understand how I’m feeling, but I have a hard time expressing it. Sometimes the only way I know how to express my feelings is in ways that are not nice like using mean words or throwing things, or hitting and biting. With Mommy and Daddy’s help I’m slowly learning how to express my feelings in healthier ways. One of which is simply using my words. I’m learning how to say that I’m “angry”, “happy” and “sad”.
Today I was playing with Daddy and he moved a train that I did not want him to move. It was an honest mistake. I hadn’t told him not to move it and when he asked me if he could I mistakenly said “yes”. But I didn’t want him to move it. I told him “No, no, no” and he apologized for moving it and put it back. And without thinking I said, “Bye-bye” which is one of my mean ways of expressing my feelings. I know I’m not supposed to say it in a mean way, but it just slipped out. Daddy calmly reminded me not to say things like that and that he was sorry for moving the train.
I took a moment and then said, “Mason sad. Not happy.” Daddy acknowledge my feelings walking me through how he knew I must feel having something not go the way I wanted it to go. He also told me how proud he was of me for saying how I felt instead of acting out in a not nice way. I was relieved that he understood how I felt and that I was trying to control how I expressed my emotions. We talked about it a bit more and I started feeling better. He asked if I needed a hug and I said yes. We hugged and then I said, “Mason happy.” Daddy told me he was happy too. Then I said, “Mason happy, Daddy happy, Mommy happy. ” He confirmed that what I said was true and that he was very happy that I was able to communicate with him and work out my feelings in a healthy way. With that settled we went back to playing.
Growing up is hard, but I’m making progress every day.
Playdate

My friend came over to play and play we did. We had a lot of fun just goofying around. We ran around our small apartment and did silly things. We ran back and forward for no reason and had a ball doing it. Then we watched some videos and had some ice cream. It was a great day!

Stroller wheelies
Yakiniku

We went out for yakiniku for dinner tonight and of course had a great time and a great meal. I ate a lot. I even ate the sauce. But of course I more preferred the ice cream to the sauce, but I still enjoyed it.
We had some fun during dinner. Daddy and I were playing around and he was using Force lightning on me and I was returning it. It was really fun! Don’t worry, I won’t be drawn to the dark side.
Oh, I ate a lot. What a full tummy.

Halloween Pictures and Halloween Train

Despite the run in with a large dinosaur, we got our Halloween pictures today at the mall. I didn’t do real trick-or-treating, but Mommy and Daddy bought me some Halloween goodies. Then it was on to the Halloween train.

Dinosaur at the mall

We went trick or treating at the mall but there was a big dinosaur there. It was walking around and scaring all the little kids. I was a bit scared of it, but I was okay because Daddy was there.

Halloween practice

I tried on my Halloween costume today getting ready for some Trick-or-Treating. It fit really well and looked good! Thank you for making it Nana. Nice job! Instead of Trick-or-Treating for candy I practiced with soup. I did pretty good.
We are planning to go Trick-or-Treating at a shopping mall where they have Halloween events. We also found out that they have a Halloween train there which I got really excited about.
Reading the newspaper

Just checking out what is going on in the world. It looks like that there is a lot of news out there, but to be honest all I cared about was the pictures of cars on the front page.
Soccer at the park

Today we headed to the park to play and brought some balls to play with. When we got there I told my teachers that I wanted to play with my friend and we got the balls out and we played soccer together. Actually, we played around together, but we still had fun.
Playing soccer

Today we brought some balls to the park. When we got there we played soccer. I’m getting pretty good at kicking the ball around.
