I’m getting better at doing things on my own. I can put my shoes on by myself (most of the time) when we leave the house. I can take them off when I get to school. There are days when I choose not to, but the fact is I can do it. As with most things it just takes practice. I can even do thumbs up now after some practice!

When we go to the park sometimes we like to play train. Usually we get in a line and run on a track. Today we just kind of clustered around our teacher and forced her to go here and there.
I often like to hang out with the younger class and as an upperclassman I feel it is my responsibility to take care of them and help them out.

Peace! It is a very Japanese thing to show the peace sign when taking pictures. Sometimes I don’t like having my picture taken, but sometimes I’m okay with it. Peace!

At the park today we stopped by to check on the ducks. They were all happy and doing well. We moved on to go play in the park. I spent most of my time collecting acorns. I had quite a collection to bring home.

As you know, I like to play with my doggies and my Baby Mason cushion. So Mommy and Daddy thought that I could use a little playmate. Introducing Ao-kun. He is a little buddy doll. We hit it off from the very beginning.

Tonight we went for a walk on a dessert run. We just went down to the 7-11, which was not very far, but it was a nice evening walk. And I really like the fruit jelly dessert that I chose. Yum!

Today I was waking up from my nap and I encountered The Thing! It oozed into the room. I wasn’t surprised or anything. I just ran up to it on hopped on top to play.

When we have our Facetime with Nana and Papa I like to show them a lot of my toys or how I play. Today they got to watch me play with Magna-tiles and even play the piano…with a firetruck. I think they were quite impressed.

Every so often I choose to hop on the potty and give it another try. So far nothing comes out, but it is good practice.

Pancakes are oh so good!

It seems that Daddy was tuckered out from all the glamping. He did drive all the way there and back while I took a nap. Have a good nap, Daddy.

You may remember from a previous post that I do thumbs up with a single index finger instead of my thumb. Well, we’re working on that.

We had some leftover food from glamping so Daddy made ham and cheese vehicle sandwiches for me for lunch. I liked them a lot and had fun eating them! But I kind of deconstructed them when I ate them so maybe he didn’t have to go through all the trouble of making sandwiches in the first place.

We decided to go glamping this weekend. It was both a planned thing and a last minute thing. We had talked about it earlier this week but it wasn’t a for sure thing until Friday. So after a lot quick packing we headed out glamping on Saturday.

I was very excited about the tent. It was huge! It is actually more space than we have at home.

We explored the glamping grounds a bit and I thought it was so cool.

After some exploration we had a small snack.

Then it was back to exploring and playing.

Dinner was a lot of fun. There was a BBQ grill there and a lot of food. Eating food hot of the grill was fun and delicious. The campground came gave us some mini fireworks to play with. I was a bit hesitant to play with the fireworks so I let Mommy do it.

Before we knew it the day was over and it was time for bed. The facilities had showers that I was a bit afraid of at the beginning but Daddy set up my kids’ videos on his iPhone in the shower to keep me distracted and entertained. Once that was set up everything went smoothly. I was able to follow my usual bedtime routine, just a glamping version of it.

I slept really well and woke up in a great playful mood. I had a lot of fun playing on the futons and rolling around. After washing up we had breakfast in glamping style.

After breakfast it was time to play and explore again.

The verdict: glamping is a lot of fun. I think I may be ready for real camping next time!
But for now, it is time to say goodbye to glamping and head home. Don’t worry Daddy, I’ll drive.

We decided to switch and Daddy drove us home. Good thing too. I fell right asleep. What an awesome glamping trip.
