Most days Daddy carries me to school, but every so often I prefer to get a piggyback ride. We don’t get to talk as much, but at least I can see where we are going.

Daddy wanted me to put my socks on, but I refused. So he put it on my ears. I didn’t want to put socks on my feet, but I didn’t mind them on my ears.

Today we went to the park for a picnic. Mommy made spam musubi and Daddy made somen salad. We had quite a spread. It was a great meal and it was even more fun to eat outside.

After eating it was time to play. Our first stop was the slide. This park has a very fast slide that I enjoy a lot!
After that it was off to the swings. It was fun until I got a little too careless and fell off. I was fine, but a bit shaken. I had enough of the swing and moved on.

Next we played some catch.

Then we played with bubbles.

What a nice day at the park.

There are certain toys that I play with all the time, like my bus and dump truck. There are other ones that I come around to in my rotation. Today I decided to play with my forklift and had it move a bench around. And then Daddy helped me make a ramp for my Shinkansen to go down.

Tonight we had dinner with Jiiji, Baaba, and Obachan in Nakagawa, Mommy’s hometown. We went to a different restaurant that was recommended by Jiiji and Baaba. it was pretty tasty. At dinner I got a surprise present from Obachan. She had been shopping and saw that a toy ambulance was on sale and bought it for me for no special occasion. She just thought I might like it. She was right!

After dinner we went to Jiiji and Baaba’s house to hang out. As usual, Baaba gave me several plates of fruits to snack on.

But it’s not like all I did was eat. I hung out with Jiiji and Baaba, although they were always on the move and not always in the tatami room I was in. So would go and seek them out.

When driving, it is always important to check your mirrors. You never know what might be approaching.

I was pretending to be a baby in my high chair and had my doggies keep me company. It turns out that there is much to do when pretending to be a baby and I needed some interaction.

Nana and Papa got me these cool vehicles puzzles when the came to visit and I work on them from time to time. I pretty good at them and usually don’t need much help. But today I challenged myself by dumping them all out in a pile before starting work on them, instead of doing them one at a time. It was a bit harder, but I still did pretty good!

I love playing with my cars and my parking garage. My cars come in all kinds of sizes so it is not always easy to get them all to fit, but I do a pretty good job. There are pileups sometimes though.

The newest fashion fad: towel dresses! I’m really into it and request that I have a few towel dresses made for me after I finish my bath. Tonight I am going for simply elegant.

My new hat arrived today! It is a Doctor Yellow Shinkansen hat! It is so cool! I really liked my old hat too, but it was getting pretty small. As I grow taller I guess my head is growing bigger as well. Also, my old hat had dinosaurs on it, which is fine, but as you know I’m a vehicles boy and prefer car, trains, and planes themed clothes and accessories. I can’t wait for the next sunny day to test this bad boy out.

Today when we went to the park for our walk we saw a bunch of dragonflies flying around. We all started to chase them. They were much too fast for us and we weren’t able to catch a single one.

We did some arts and crafts today at school. We got some sponges and did some stamping. I did pretty good.
By the way, I was not in a great mood this morning. To everything my teachers asked me to do I said, “Suru jya nai. Shinai.” or “I’m not going to. I won’t do it.” Maybe I’m coming down with something. I had a runny nose all day. At least I enjoyed the stamping.

It is hard to walk to school in the rain, so I help Daddy with the umbrella.

As much as I don’t like to walk at school, I usually don’t mind walking on my own when Mommy picks me up from school.

Recently I don’t really like to walk on our walks. If I can I try to catch a ride in the stroller. On today’s walk I headed out on the stroller, but on the way back I decided to walk. It doesn’t sound like much of an accomplishment but I had been having an off morning so any little thing effort was a good thing.
