Ready to go out

We decided to go to a nearby buffet tonight and boy was it fun! I ate so much food! There was a steak station, which was Daddy’s favorite. I had a lot of steak too, but my favorite thing was the fruits! I must have had like 20 mini tomatoes and more grapes than I could count.
Not only was the food really good, but they also had bingo. While I was busy eating, Daddy was checking out our bingo cards and we won! We won a case of 22 peaches! Those are very expensive in Japan. Mommy checked online and it looks like they could cost up to 8000 yen! Even though I just ate my fill, I can’t wait to get home and eat some peaches!

Of course I went into the pool today. It is so hot, going in the pool is the best way to beat the heat (without using electricity). I had fun in the pool as I always did, but I also had an added bonus. Daddy bought me some foam to play with. You can play with it in the bath or in the pool. It is pretty firm and does not disappear too quickly. I had a lot of fun playing in the water and playing with foam.

Usually at home I am very active. I’m always running around the house and playing with all kinds of toys. But sometimes I can be pretty lazy and just want to veg out with the iPad.

Cooking pancakes for breakfast because that’s what I wanted to eat and I figured that I should help around the house.

There was a summer festival being held nearby Daddy’s workplace so Mommy and I decided to visit him after work and have dinner there. Mommy came to pick me up, got me changed, and then we headed out on the subway to go to the summer festival.

I dressed up in my jimbei and looked pretty good! Very summery! When we got there we ate some good food for dinner!

I not only enjoyed the food but I also enjoyed the music and dancing!

I was such a good boy that Mommy and Daddy gave me a lot of delicious food even a snow cone for dessert! It was nice and cold, which was very refreshing on a hot and humid evening like this. Daddy even got me a cool light-up sword!

That was a very fun evening! But I think the subway ride to the festival and back was still the highlight of the day.

On days like these when we have to stay indoors our teachers usually break out the gymnastic mats for us to play on. It is a good way to get us some exercise. And they often find some arts and crafts thing for us to do. Today we had more fun with the capsule that dissolve into sponges. No cars here, but it was still fun.

Most days I’m carried to school. Either on Daddy’s hip or piggy back. But some days I walk.

Some mornings I get up quite early and that means that I eat breakfast, get changed, and get ready for school early. I like it because I have more time to play with my toys and read. Mommy and Daddy like it too because they don’t have to rush around…but they also don’t like waking up too early in the morning. They try to convince me to go back to sleep but I usually won’t have it and I point outside the bedroom and demand some food.

We did a bit of dancing today. And then we played with some capsules that turned into sponges when you put them in water. It was very exciting to wait and see what shape would appear.

I’ve been asking for piggy back rides to school these days. I have a better view of where we are going. It is also quite comfortable…for me at least. It seems to be a bit harder for Daddy to carry me.
The yakisoba I ate for dinner was so good that I was moved to laughter.

It was pool day at school and we all had a great time playing in the water! But I refused to wear my swimming cap. As a compromise I wore my normal school cap this time. I’ve got to learn to wear my swim cap by next time or I might not be allowed into the pool. But I can be pretty stubborn so we’ll see what happens.

I got ready for school fairly quickly so I had some time to do some coloring.

Mommy was reading me a book where it asked, “Who ate the ~” and then it would answer on the next page the bears ate it or the ants ate it. But apparently, it was Daddy all along, and I thought that was hilarious!
