Pick up and dinner

Mommy picks me up from school and after a pleasant walk home I play while she gets dinner ready. I’m very good at playing with my cars by myself. I sometimes call out to her or come to show her something, but for the most part I’m just on the floor rolling my cars around. I understand that she needs some time in the kitchen to get my dinner ready. I also understand that it is worth the wait. I love the dinners she makes for me!

Today I’m getting as much food into my mouth by using both a spoon and chopsticks.

Last to wake

I had such a fun and busy three-day weekend, that I was the last to wake this morning. Mommy and Daddy had to get me up so I wouldn’t be late for nursery school.

But Daddy didn’t wake up that much earlier than me. I guess he had a fun three-day weekend too!

Ending up in the pool

It all started innocently enough with me helping Daddy water the plants in our garden.

Then this happened.

I was still helping to water the plants, I just had to get my feet wet in order to get the water…at least that’s my excuse. So I still water the plants.

But I eventually ended up in the pool.

Mommy and Daddy just rolled with it and let me have my fun!

Since I was still in my diapers, they started getting really heavy and bulging out of my pants. i had to be changed into my swim pants.

Then I could really have fun and make it a pool day!

I even invited Daddy in to play with me.

Ramen

We went to ramen for lunch, which was great! It was very tasty and I really enjoyed it! But for some reason I ended up playing around. Throwing things on the floor and overall not listening to Mommy and Daddy. Nowadays, more and more I test limits and act out my terrible twos. I had mostly finished eating, so Mommy and Daddy decided that if I wasn’t going to behave it was time to leave. I did not like that, but I had no choice. I was not being a good boy and I was about to throw a tantrum. They firmly escorted me out of the ramen place and struggled to get me into my car seat. After a firm talking to, I finally calmed down enough to get in the car and then we headed home. Once there we took some time to discuss my behavior and I apologized. As a terrible two year old I often test limits and push boundaries, seeing how far I can go. Mommy and Daddy are very kind and lenient, but they also clearly draw the line when necessary. I’m learning about that line, even though it is my job to see if I can nudge it in my favor here and there. In the end, we always make up and close the issue with a hug. Then we’re back to smiles and laughter.

Baby seat

Recently, when we go to a restaurant, I often don’t require a baby seat to sit in. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that I sit down in my seat. My new “baby seat” is Daddy’s lap. It is very comfy, the perfect height, and it feeds me, as well as talks to me, sings to me, and plays with me. He is the perfect baby seat!

New water bottle / Overgrown park

We went to the nearby park, which has become quite overgrown, and it was a good chance to try out my new water bottle. Since my mug doesn’t hold enough water for an outing, we had to get me a bigger water bottle so that I always have enough water.

The park was quite overgrown, but I found out that I was overgrown too. I had to duck a bit when walking under the bars to avoid hitting me head. I’m getting tall!
