Daddy is always reminding me to keep hydrated, but I don’t see him practicing what he preaches. So I had to give him a bottle to make sure he doesn’t dehydrate.

I woke up from my nap reenergized and very hungry. Luckily it was snack time!

I had such a busy morning that I got very sleepy on the way back to the subway station. I actually dozed off while Mommy carried me. I haven’t been that tired in a very long time.

We visited an art exhibition today. There were a lot of things to look at. Some things I liked and some things I didn’t like. I did find these little interactive video displays interesting though.

We headed out today, but before we even had lunch I had drunk all the water in my mug. It is just that hot that I get so thirsty. My little baby mug is no longer big enough. Daddy had to go to a nearby convenience store to get me some grape juice so that I had something to drink with lunch.

I was helping Daddy water the plants in the garden even though he had the sprinklers on. The mist from the sprinklers landed on my hair in such a way that it looked like my hair started graying.
I still like putting on Daddy’s glasses whenever I have a chance. Mommy and Daddy always tell me not to because it could be bade for my eyes but at this point of my life I choose fashion over eyesight.

Every time I do these wooden puzzles that Nana and Papa got for me I get better and better at them.
I’m getting so good at eating with chopsticks that I no longer have to think about it. I just use them.

We found some mushrooms at the park. We found them fascinating. Especially since there is a mushroom song that we sing. We always tell our teachers when we find some mushrooms and we always sing the mushroom song.

Recently I’ve been wanting piggy-back rides to school. I find them more fun than just being carried. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to lean forward, so it is hard for Daddy to keep me from falling. He has to use a lot more effort to hold me compared to just carrying me. But it seems to be worth it. He never complains and seems pleased by the fact that I just love piggy-back rides!
But it is tiring for him so when he puts me down and asks me to walk I just go to Mommy and ask her to carry me instead. Which you can see I love as much as Daddy piggy-back rides!

I finished my breakfast, but all of a sudden asked for some bread when I realized I was still hungry. Instead of going to my high chair I just ate it on the couch. More and more I like sitting on the couch to eat light snacks.

I’m really getting good at putting together these wooden puzzles that Nana and Papa got for me. At first it was really hard, but I figured out where the pieces go and how to fit them together. It also helps that they are all vehicles so they keep my interest. Nana and Papa know me so well.

I had finished my dinner when Daddy came home relatively early. It was still light out so he suggested we go for a walk to get some ice cream. I heard ice cream and was eager to go.

We took a short walk to a convenience store that had soft serve ice cream and a place to sit. I really enjoyed the walk there and of course I enjoyed my ice cream. It was a nice little dessert outing.

We are all finding so many cicada cast off shells. They are all over the place. We find the husks and show them to our teachers and to each other. We are quite fascinated by them.

We mixed colors today at school. First our teacher showed us how to use the pipets and then we got to mixing our own colors. I ended up with something that looked like orange juices and I was so proud of it when I brought it home to show Mommy and Daddy.

We did rhythm and dance at school again today, but I wasn’t feeling in the mood so I just sat this one out.

There was a display about smells at the prefectural office. It was pretty interesting to smell all the different aromas.
I’m practicing singing “happy birthday” for a special someone whose birthday is tomorrow. i really haven’t sung the song before, so it is a bit of a crash course. I hope I can remember it by tomorrow.
