It has become a bit of a weekend routine where I wake up and eat breakfast and then when Mommy and Daddy sit down to eat their’s I steal half of Daddy’s food. It becomes my second breakfast. Daddy sometimes tries to outsmart me and makes more than usual for himself, but that just means that I eat more off of his plate and leave him with the same small portion. I am Daddy’s portion controller.

Mommy and Daddy got a new coffee maker. Wow! So shiny! Oooooooh!

We still have some jelly that Ojisan brought for me, so that was my dessert today. It was delicious!

Today we practiced putting on socks. Our teachers gave us scrunchies so that we could get used to pulling thing up over our feet to our ankles. As you can see I did pretty good. But I was not happy having scrunchies on my ankles so I took them off. And then practiced putting them back on again.

We also had fun playing with hoops and mats. It is surprising how much fun we can have on rainy days.

I mentioned how I like to go to sleep touching my piko. Well, one of the drawback about that is that I often end up sleeping with my belly completely exposed! Luckily it is summer and not cold at all, but it kind of defeats the purpose of wearing a shirt.

When Daddy came home from work today he made me laugh like crazy with funny faces. He would hide under the blanket and when I uncovered him I would find him with strange and weird faces. These funny faces cracked me up!

Today we practiced stringing at school. We had ribbons that we strung through large foam discs with holes in the the center. It may look like I’m concentrating very hard because I am. But I’m also having fun.

The first thing we do when we get home is wash our hands. It is a good habit to get into. Especially right before dinner. Because you never know when you’re going to ditch your utensils and just eat with your hands. Like you have a choice when it comes to corn on the cob.

Today we practiced singing the “Ki-ki-kinoko” song. (“Mu-mu-mushroom” in English). We all love that song at school! Especially because we like pretending to be mushrooms. Yes, pretending to be a mushroom can be fun. You should try it.

My piko is my source of calm and relaxation. I often touch my piko when I’m going to sleep, but I can also be found touching my piko unconsciously when I’m sleeping. I guess it is to me what suck on thumbs can be to other babies and toddlers.

We had our English lesson today and we all had fun singing, dancing, and learning new words.

We also enjoyed our walk outside. The rain finally cleared up, but it became quite hot so we made sure to take frequent water breaks.

After dinner, I go straight to playing with my toys. More often than not those toys have wheels on them. Today I spent some time playing with my tractor and train after lining up some cars and trucks.
I’ve been showing more of an interest in the potty at school. I watch the older kids go to the potty area and sometimes wander over to see what they are doing. Sometimes I go to the potty and ask my teacher if I can flush it. When I do, then I wash my hands and return to playing. Today before lunch I went to the potty and sat on it (fully clothed) then got up and flushed it and then sat down again. I then told my teacher “Deta” (came out) but when the check my diaper there way nothing. I guess I should have mentioned that I was just practicing.

We had to play inside again today because of the rain, but that does not mean we just sat around and did nothing. We were very active because our teachers brought out the mats and tunnels for us to play with.

I was playing with Daddy and matching cards when we decided it was time for some song. So we started to sing The Wheels on the Bus. But we were being lazy so we sang it lying down.

After shopping at Costco, I had Indian curry for lunch today instead of my usual omurice. I liked it a lot! Especially the naan! I ate a lot of it, but not all of it. It was really big for a kids’ meal. I didn’t eat much curry at the beginning but ended up finishing all of it.

I’m trying to break into Mommy’s phone but it is not working very well. I have my smart looking glasses and everything but still nothing. Hmmm. This may take a while.

Every morning Mommy and Daddy let me choose my outfit. It often takes a few tries though. I’ll point at a shirt and when I see it I change my mind. The same thing for pants. After several tries I finally land on the outfit that I want to wear. It doesn’t always match, but at least I can change out of my pajamas.
