Today was a special day! It was Mommy and Daddy’s anniversary! We all took a nice picture together to commemorate their anniversary.
Then they were taking a picture just the two of them, but I didn’t want to be left out so I hopped in the picture.

As always, I finished my dinner and was still a bit hungry for some dessert. Luckily, Daddy had bough a special fruit jelly dessert for me and Mommy. It was really good and a nice surprise treat!

I love going to nursery school, but I love being home too. It is so nice to come home from school and be able to just relax and play with my toys.

I found a beetle at the park today and showed my teacher right away. She was happy to meet my new friend but after a while asked if it would be okay to let my new beetle friend return to his family. I said yes and we let him go back home. I let him know that I’ll be back to see him tomorrow.

It turns out that I still had a couple of cookies leftover from my birthday cake. They were in the fridge all this time and I hadn’t known about them. When Mommy offered them to me for dessert I devoured them immediately.

Ah, happy with a full tummy and many cars to play with.

I’m not a baby any longer. I’m two and I consider myself a toddler. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be a baby from time to time. It feels nice to be a baby sometimes, especially when I’m feeling a bit under the weather.

I had to stay home from school today because I’ve had a pretty bad cough for a while. I had to go to the doctor’s to get it check out. It was just a bit of a bug and nothing to worry about. But since I had the day off and Mommy took off from work to watch me, we made the most of it and had a great day together!

My classmates and I all love checking out the bugs at the park on our walks. We all gather around when we find some beetles or ants. Today we didn’t see any ants, just the anthole. We waited patient for the ants to show up but I guess they knew about our presence and were being shy. It’s too bad that the ants were a no show. At least we saw some fish in the pots in front of the building next to our school. The fish were not shy at all.
Some days when Daddy comes home from work he finds Mommy and me playing in the living room. But sometimes I hear him come home and rush to the front door to meet him. I sometimes have a toy or book that I want to show him, but I usually just want him to pick me up as soon as possible.

Some days at school I get really attached to a book and end up carrying it around all day. I’ll have my teachers read it to me from time to time but overall just like having it with me. I have a bit of a possessive side.

When we go to the park I sometimes do the same thing and get very possessive with the toys. I’ll find the ball that I like that day and just run around with it. Other kids will throw it or kick it around. I just like holding on to it.

Daddy and I were playing with building blocks and I was having a lot of fun toppling them over after Daddy stacked them. I was having so much fun that I ended up toppling over myself.

I helped Daddy prepare dinner tonight. He was making beef stew so I helped with prepping the veggies. I did a very good job of washing them before Daddy cut them.

I love the fast stone slide that they have at the park. I made Daddy take me up and slide down with me again and again! Too bad I can’t slide by myself. It is really fast and stone so it is still a bit too dangerous for me to go solo.

While playing with my bubble gun I made a new temporary friend. I was having fun making bubbles and she had a great time chasing after them and trying to pop them.

There is no better way to wrap up a trip to the park than a high speed piggyback ride and an acrobatic airplane ride!
It was fun, but I think it wore Daddy out.

Wiping Daddy’s mouth for him.

Kanpai with Nana and Papa.

Snack time that makes my legs look really long.

Good days start off with a Daddy horsey-back ride. Today is going to be a good day!

Posing and exercising with my farmer again.

Daddy and I aren’t fighting or anything. It is just a father and son messing around during dinner.

I helped Daddy cook again today. We made soup! I couldn’t cut anything, but Daddy let me mix and season everything. I was a very good helper again today!
Once all the prep was done I left all the cooking and stuff to Daddy. I was told that the range was dangerous, so I took my leave and played while everything cooked.

We got to the zoo for our school field trip and I instantly clung to Mommy. I was told that we were going to the zoo and I knew my teachers and classmates would be there, but I didn’t know that there would be so many other people. It was quite crowded. It seemed like a lot of other nursery schools, preschools, and elementary schools had also planned their field trip here today. I was not feeling very comfortable in the crowd. After some comforting from Mommy and some singing and playing from Daddy I relaxed and felt better. Then I was okay and was able to enjoy looking at all the animals!

I enjoyed looking at all the big animals, but I couldn’t ignore the small animals…like the ants and beetles I saw on the path.

It was a big zoo and a lot of walking. I got tired and needed to be carried here and there. I also needed a snack.

It was a wonderful trip to the zoo! I completed the walk rally the school had set up and got to see a lot of animals! It was a lot of fun and I plan to come back again someday!
After the zoo we met my classmate for lunch and we compared notes about the zoo while watching cars drive by the restaurant where we were eating.
