2nd Birthday Dinner

Once Daddy came home from work we all hopped in the car and headed out for my 2nd birthday dinner. We went to a special restaurant that had a special kids’ meal. My food came served in a fire truck! Isn’t that awesome! This was actually the first restaurant where I literally cleaned my plate and ate a bunch of bread from the bread buffet. You could say that this was one of the places that helped me learn about enjoying food and enjoying going out!

Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals as well. Nana and Papa indulged and ate much more than they usually do. They also loved watching me devour my food, and some of Mommy and Daddy’s food as well. It seemed that I was never going to stop eating.

My kids’ meal came with a very large glass of juice which I really appreciated. It was very yummy!

The restaurant had a salad bar which we all took advantage of. I had a lot of mini tomatoes. I also had a couple of cups of soup as well as several pieces of bread from the bread buffet. And this is all on top of my kids’ meal. When Daddy asked if I wanted to try some grapefruit I eagerly said yes, signing “grapes”. He tried to explain that it wasn’t grapes, but grapefruit, but all I heard was “grape” and “fruit” which I love. So I tried it.

I surprised everyone and actually liked it! It was a bit tart, but still pretty tasty.

While eating I started to mimic Papa again and then I started mimicking Daddy as well. It was a very fun meal!

Mommy’s home

Nana and Papa babysat me again today. We all did very well. I was well behaved and I had a lot of fun with them. I let Papa take me out of my crib after I finished my nap and I let him change my diaper. Papa cut my fruits for my snack and put me in my high chair. I read books with Nana and played with my cars. It was a very good day with Nana and Papa!

But once Mommy came home I was very happy to see her. Next we waited for Daddy to come home and then we could all go out to dinner.

Birthday gift from Maimai and Tata

After I came back from school I got to chat with my cousins Maimai and Tata. They wanted to wish me a happy birthday! Luckily Nana and Papa’s luggage finally came in and they could give me the present from Maimai and Tata. I ripped right into it and loved it!

Thank you so much, Maimai, Tata, Aunty Chris and Uncle Matt! I love the Lego train set!

Birthday at nursery school

I went to nursery school today. One reason was that it was my birthday and another was that it was our health check day. It was nice seeing my friends and teachers again after a while. I slipped right back into my usual routine.

On our walk we went past a restaurant with a food display. When I saw all the display food I started to pretend to eat some of it then I started to feed my friends. They all played along and “ate” the food that I fed them. We all walked back to our school with “full” tummies.

Piko sleep

For a very long time now, I’ve found comfort in touching my piko (belly button). I often fall asleep while sticking my finger in my belly button. Sometimes I touch it too much and end up with a raw red piko. But it is worth it. It helps me calm down and drift off to sleep.

Nana and Papa babysitting

Nana and Papa baby sat me today. Daddy took a half day off, but headed to work after he put me down for my nap. He explained that when I woke up from my nap Nana and Papa were going to watch me and take care of me. I told him not to worry and guaranteed him that I would be a good boy and that we all would have a good time. And we did!

When I woke up from my nap Papa came to get me and I raised my arms right away so that he could pick me up out of my crib. He changed my poopy diaper and we had a great afternoon together. They asked me if I wanted to go to the park again, but I said that I wanted to stay at home and play with them. And that is exactly what we did.

When Mommy came home she found us all having a great time together. I helped her prepare dinner and then it was time for dinner.

We had a great dinner and then had fun playing after dinner. We were still having a lot of fun when Daddy came home. I was so happy that he could join in on the fun!

I had a great day being babysat by Nana and Papa and look forward to more of these days this week!

Papa brought me these cool airplanes that you can shoot from a gun. I thought it sounded pretty cool so we went to the park to test them out. They flew pretty nicely!

I also kicked a ball around a bit, but then I suddenly realized that I was hungry so we decided to head back home for lunch.

Copying Papa

I was having lunch with Nana, Papa, and Daddy and then all of a sudden everyone noticed that I had been copying Papa. When he cupped his face in his hands, I also cupped my face in my hands. When he sat with his arms crossed, I also crossed my arms. I’ve always been very good at mimicking but usually it is more obvious and part of game. Today I just did it on my own and when everyone noticed it became a game.
