Daddy’s high school friends and families came over for a reunion today. I’ve met everyone here and there over the years, but some of them I don’t remember because I was so little when I met them.
I was pretty well behaved, but there were some tough times. First of all, I don’t usually do very well with a lot of people and there were 9 visitors. They were all very nice and kind, but it was a little overwhelming.
They came in small groups so that helped me get used to everyone little by little. First the families with the older girls arrived so they were easy to play with. We played Lego together. It was nice to play with them because it was like playing with my cousins. They were very kind and took care of me.
Later the little boys who have been here before arrived. They know there are a lot of toys to play with and I was very good and generous and let them play with the toys. But then they accidentally started to play with the Lego toy that Nana and Papa got for me and started to take it apart. That made me very sad. That is currently my favorite toy! I ran to my bedroom in tears. Nana and Daddy came to check on me and I explained what had happened through free-flowing tears. I was good though, and didn’t do anything mean to the boys. It wasn’t their fault. They didn’t know. So Daddy helped me calm down and then slowly brought me my toy in parts to keep safe in my bedroom. After a while I felt better and emerged from my bedroom to play with everyone again.
We also had fun playing outside with water guns and the pool. I got wet and had to change my clothes before eating lunch. I ate a pretty good lunch, but lost half of my sandwich to a guava juice spill. I ate the rest of my sandwich and a small bag of potato chips.

After lunch we went back outside to play with water balloons. Nana had bought so many balloons for us to play with. We had a ball playing with everything. We easily managed to pop all the balloons.

Then Nana brought out some ice pops for us to eat for snack. They were homemade out of guava juice and oh so yummy!

Then it was time for everyone to leave. I was sad to see them go. Even though there were some trying times, I enjoyed having company over.

After that we played a bit. Then Mommy and Daddy headed out for drinks and some shopping. I was a good boy and spent that time at home with Nana and Papa.
After dinner I was having a lot of fun playing with Lego and cars. It was getting close to bath time and Daddy gave me some heads up, letting me know how many more minutes that I could play. I said okay, but when it was time to go to bath I refused. I just said “no” and said that I wanted to play. Then Daddy and I got into a big fight because I wouldn’t listen. I don’t know what got into me. I just wouldn’t back down. Of course I knew that I had to take a bath and I knew that it was getting late, but I just was being stubborn. I finally apologized for not listening. Daddy helped me calm down by hugging out all the bad feelings while doing deep breaths. I was in tears but it felt good that we worked it out. Even though it was tough, I was glad that with Daddy’s help I could calm down and act like the good boy that I am.

It was very late by the time I had my bath but I had gotten rid of all the bad feelings so I was able to chat with Daddy and smile during our bath. After finishing our bedtime routine I went to bed with no bad feelings and knowing that I was loved.
