I woke up in a good mood again and had a good morning.
I went outside with Daddy and we hunted for some lizards. We found 6 of them! It was so much fun going around and around the house looking for them. There was one that Daddy walked right past and I spotted. I saw the lizard turn from brown-green to red right in front of my eyes. It was so cool. I caught a lot of the small ones all on my own, catching it in the net and then grabbing it with my fingers to put in the box. When it was time to go back in, I let all the lizards go. I thanked them for playing with me and said goodbye to them. But when I let them go they didn’t run away. They just hung around and some actually climbed on me. I think they liked me.
The grown ups all got ox tail soup for lunch but I ate a cheeseburger instead.
After lunch I did some crafts with Daddy. He bought some craft kits for me. One was a little challenging because I had to use a glue stick and tissue paper. The other one I could do all on my own. It was a sticker activity and I could do it all by myself without any explanation. We were planning to go to the beach after lunch but I didn’t want to leave until I finished with the stickers.
We went to the beach and even though it was a beach with rock wall enclosed pools, there were still a lot of big waves. There was still a lot of high surf. Even with yesterday’s experience with the wave, I was excited to go into the water again. The waves were high, but not dangerous, so I had a ball go up and down, back and forward in the waves. I played in the big pool and small pool. I had some minor dunks in the water but was fine. I did not cry at all. It was getting late but I still wanted to play in the sand so we played in the sand just before we left. Then it was time to go. The shower was cold and that was the only time I whimpered and complained. After getting rinsed off and our gear clean up we headed home.
After a quick shower we went out to dinner. I saw a strawberry sundae on the menu and I was on a mission. I was going to do what I had to do to get that sundae. I chose karaage for dinner and ate everything Daddy put on my plate so that I could eat that sundae. I finished my dinner and ate got my sundae. It was beautiful! And delicious! Yum!
When we got home I had some play time before bed. After yesterday’s stalling and scolding, I was very well behaved. I got ready very quickly and was in bed on time. And since we had a long day at the beach I was asleep within minutes.
