I have a pop quiz for you. What do you think this is? Of course it is skin folds, since the title of this post is quite clear. But what part of my body? I know it is quite difficult. Here it s a hint: it may seem like an unlikely place. Here is anotherContinue reading “Pop quiz: Skin folds”

Morning nap buddy
My sea otter friend
Wild fire hair
Man, my hair is getting long. I’m going to need a haircut soon. It always looks pretty wild after my bath, like my hair is on fire.
Teething ring
Now that I’ve mastered rolling over and using my hands, it makes it easier for me to find, grab, and use my teething ring. I really gnaw on that thing. It is so loud and squeaky sometimes that it can be distracting when Daddy is trying to do work.
Exhausted
I’m not much for napping in my crib, but there are those days where I am so exhausted that I can sleep anywhere. Today was one of those days.
Tummy time: Coming for you
Yep, I’m still working on crawling. I haven’t got it yet, but the intent and posture is there.
Cooling down
After my walks, I need to cool down when I get home. That usually means removing a layer of clothes and letting the air conditioning cool me off. Mommy also helps by fanning me. Oooooh, that feels nice!
Hats off
Even though it is October, it is still pretty hot and sunny. So when I go out for a walk, I usually wear a hat. Or sometimes the hat wears me. The end result, I end up falling asleep in my stroller.
Pretty eyes
First food
I started eating solid food today! Well, it wasn’t really “solid”. I ate okayu, which is a Japanese rice porridge. It took a couple of tries to learn how to keep the food in my mouth, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. And the verdict is that I like food! I don’tContinue reading “First food”
Finding sneaky Daddy
I was taking my nap in my crib and then I woke up in a fairly good mood. I didn’t cry or call out for Mommy or Daddy. I just stayed in my crib. I got bored and started to move around and thump my legs, but I still didn’t cry or call out. ByContinue reading “Finding sneaky Daddy”
Festive fireworks
It is already October, but it is still quite hot. About 32°C, which is nearly 90°F. In OCTOBER! I have no frame of reference, but October is supposed to be autumn and much cooler. The nice thing is that I can get more use out of my summer wardrobe which is already getting to beContinue reading “Festive fireworks”
Windmill arms
One day I may like something, and then the next day I won’t. I used to like relaxing on Mommy and Daddy’s lap so that I could see them and talk to them. Recently, I rarely am able to relax like that. I twist and fuss a lot nowadays. I even get windmill arms. BewareContinue reading “Windmill arms”
Steering wheel
Daddy has fun making me do funny things. Most of the time, I enjoy it a lot. This time I was less than amused. This is him making it look like I’m handling a steering wheel.
Afternoon nap
I would like to say that easily fall asleep at night and for my naps, but that isn’t always true. Most of the time I have a hard time sleeping on my mat and often jolt awake when I’m put down. But every so often I am in such a deep peaceful sleep that IContinue reading “Afternoon nap”
Playmat peekaboo
Peekaboo is still one of my favorite games. The nice thing about peekaboo is that we can play it anywhere and with anything. So when there isn’t a towel or blanket handy, Daddy just uses the play mat.
Towel
Daddy loves playing with me. Of course, that means that he likes to be my playmate and entertain me, but it also means that he likes to play with me for his entertainment too. Here are exhibits A and B. Exhibit A is titled “toothache” and Exhibit B is “Japanese Construction Worker”. This is whatContinue reading “Towel”
Roll over head flick
I can roll over so easily now that I wonder why it took me so long to do it the first time. I’m rolling over several times a day, which usually makes Mommy and Daddy happy, but sometimes causes them trouble. When I’m playing on my mat, they understand that I need to roll overContinue reading “Roll over head flick”
Pardon?
I am a very talkative baby. You’ve seen the conversations that I have with Mommy and Daddy. But it is hard for them to video my talking because when I notice the camera I get camera shy and stop talking. It’s not that I don’t want to talk, I just need to be asked toContinue reading “Pardon?”
