Sandwiches deconstructed
I like to eat sandwiches, but I’m a purist at heart, so I often prefer to eat each food individually and not mixed together. So I deconstruct my sandwiches when I eat.

I really get into a zone when I play with my cars. I can just sit there and play with them for hours. Sometimes I start to sing while playing. I sing the songs that I learn from my shows. I like having a playmate, but it is nice that I can play by myself as well.
I’m very interested in cooking. I often join Daddy in the kitchen when he is cooking something. This morning I helped him make pancakes. I think my little added help made them taste even better than usual because I ended up eating the lion’s share of the pancakes.
We had a visit from Baaba today. She was very happy to see me. We chatted and played, and somehow ended up on the floor in a corner. Don’t ask me why. We just go where the flow of play takes us. Later we went out for dinner and I wanted to give Mommy a taste of my food,
I wish I could say that everyday was filled with nothing by smiles and laughter, but that is not the case. There are tears here and there. And when I cry, boy do those tears come out fast. It is all part of growing up. I’m having to learn that I cannot always get everything I want and
Mommy had something she had to do today, so it was just Daddy and me for lunch. Daddy asked me what I wanted to eat for lunch and I quickly answered “hamburger”. So we went to McDonald’s and I had a Happy Meal. It delivered as promised and made me happy. I ate everything, of course. Daddy and I
I woke up in a really good mood this morning because I knew it was the weekend. That means we have a pretty relaxed morning with no rushing to get ready to go to school. So I just chilled on the couch with a pre-breakfast while Daddy got my real breakfast ready. Then after I finished
Today we made acorn maracas at school. We had collected a lot of acorns at the park and we put them into plastic bottles. Then we could shake them to make music. We had a lot of fun making quite a racket with them and dancing around to the music we made We also had some mat play
Look who got ready really quickly and had time to play this morning! Usually I take a while to get going so I don’t have that much time to play, but today I ate my breakfast quickly and did not fuss when it came time to change clothes and brush my teeth. And as a result
I got in a fight with Mommy today. A tickle fight. Mommy is very ticklish around her neck, but so am I. It was a fun competition full of laughter! Everyone was a winner!
Today I had fun during English class at school. I laughed a lot and had fun dancing to the English songs. Or for me, just “songs”. I’m not necessarily learning anything new, but I am having fun in a comfortable language. We also went for a walk today. I was about to be in a bad mood when we
I know that I’m a big boy now and that I should be able to walk to school, but I much prefer that Daddy carry me. Especially in the winter. It is so much warmer to be carried than to walk on my own. Also, Daddy let’s me watch one of my kids’ songs on the way. I think
Today Daddy came home from work with drinks for everyone. I got a grape flavor yogurt drink which was so good that I finished it in no time.
Today we brought a lot of beach toys to the park and we all played with the sand. I was collecting a lot of delicious sand for my cooking. I made all kinds of dishes for my teachers who ate them eagerly and told me they were all very yummy.
Daddy told me it was botcha time. I corrected him and said that it was “almost” botcha time. I found out that tacking “almost” on to different scheduled times is a good way to put something off.
We play so hard at the park that sometimes we just have to take a break on the bench.
Part of our going to school routine includes watching a music video from my favorite kids show app. It started off with Wheels on the bus and then it moved on to a lot of different songs on the app. It is a bit of a reward for leaving home on time to head to school.
