Apparently I hold hands when I sleep. Some of the time I look for Mommy’s hand to hold but sometimes I think it starts from Mommy. In either case, the result is a nice restful sleep and a happy morning!

I got up earlier than usual today and had much more time to play with my toy cars. Here I am all fed, washed up and dressed, ready to go to school with more than half an hour to spare.

I just have to show off the shirt hats that Daddy makes for me when undressing for bath time. I say, “show Mommy” and then run out to show Mommy the most recent trends in shirt hat fashion.

Today after running around at the park, I went in search of some acorns. I found some and was so proud of them. But when my teacher came by and asked to see them I said, “No, my acorns.” She is used to my outbursts and let it go. Later I felt bad about that so when a classmateContinue reading “Learning to share”

I like all things cars, so I’ve been reading a traffic signs book at school and borrowing it to read at home. I’m so fascinated by the signs. I’m able to recite most of the signs meanings now that I’ve read the book several times now.

We ran out of hummus, so I ate my vegetable sticks with mayonnaise. It was okay, but I much prefer hummus. What two and a half year old eats hummus? Well, this one.

We went shopping for a new jacket today. It is getting colder and my old jacket is a bit too small and doesn’t cover the length of my arms. We found a nice down jacket, but I just wasn’t feeling it. I’m so used to my red jacket that the blue just didn’t feel right. I guess we’ll haveContinue reading “Not my color”

Today when asked what I wanted to eat for lunch, I very clearly and specifically said “Omurice“. I got my wish. We went to a restaurant that specialized in omurice and I cleaned my plate. I was just really craving so omurice today.

Even cars like to get piggy backs. A lot of my small cars got a piggy-back ride from my big cars. It was like a two-layered caravan.

I helped Daddy put up Christmas lights. We made a Christmas tree. We have more lights coming in, so this is just the first part. Stay tuned for the rest.

I got a hold of Daddy’s phone when I was getting my diaper changed and I managed to take a POV picture. Daddy had to help me crop it because I was exposed.

Tonight I asked Daddy to give me a bath and we started with our usual routine. I brought a car watch me from the washing machine, I turned on all the lights and pulled down all the mats that were hung to dry. It was surprisingly warm today, so when we went out to the park I wore my summer hat and not my winter hat. Good thing because we were so active that I got pretty hot. We ran around, went up and down the slide, looked for bugs, and just had a fun time!

Even when I’m playing well by myself, I don’t always want to be by myself. So when Daddy headed into the kitchen to get lunch ready, “my truck” decided to head over to the kitchen as well. I played there in the kitchen while Daddy cooked.

Did you know that we have a thanksgiving holiday in Japan too? It is not just plain thanksgiving day, it is Labor Thanksgiving Day. What is it exactly? I don’t really know, but I’m happy to have a holiday on November 23 every year. It gives me time to catch up on some reading and playing.
