I’m still trying to crawl. I know that I have to get up on my hands. And I know I have to move my body somehow. I still haven’t figured out how to get my knees under me.

Free photo shoot
A couple weeks ago, Mommy and I went to a free baby photo shoot event nearby. We finally got the pictures from the shoot, and I’ve got to say, they look really good! I especially like the ones with Mommy and me together! I don’t look too shabby on my own either. It being Japan,Continue reading “Free photo shoot”
Play date
I had my first play date today. I have to admit that I was pretty nervous, but at least it was at my place. My new friend was even more nervous because it was a new place for her. Still, we got along fabulously. We have met before at local baby events and surprisingly liveContinue reading “Play date”
Pulling your leg
Well, not really pulling anybody’s leg, just the leg of the table. I am curious about all my surroundings so I like to explore whatever is within my reach. In this case, that is the table leg.
Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween! I hope every has a great Halloween! And if you are able to go trick-or-treating, please be safe. I wasn’t able to go trick-or-treating because it is not very common in Japan neighborhoods, and this year the shopping centers that usually have trick-or-treating events for kids, cancelled them because of the pandemic. ButContinue reading “Happy Halloween!”
On the move…backwards
I’m really moving now! I still haven’t figured out how to crawl yet, but I can shimmy around…but backwards.
Eating shirasu
The kinds of solid foods I’m eating is slowly increasing. Today I ate shirasu, which is boiled immature whitebait fish. They are really tiny fish that you eat whole. Mommy soaked them in water to get some of the salt out of them and the ground them up to make them easy to eat. TheyContinue reading “Eating shirasu”
Tummy Time on Daddy’s lap
I was sitting on Daddy’s lap while he was sitting on a chair and then I start twisting and squirming and somehow ended up on my tummy. I don’t think it was my intent, but it was surprisingly comfortable. So I just stayed there for a while. I looked so comfortable that Daddy thought heContinue reading “Tummy Time on Daddy’s lap”
Explosive hair
My hair is getting really long. What’s impressive is that even though it is long, it still stands up really well. It’s not even on purpose. Daddy just dries my hair and tries to get all of it dry, and it ends up standing up. It’s explosive! It even lasts until the next morning. NowContinue reading “Explosive hair”
Bottle fists
I do such a good job of holding my bottle all by myself, but I should learn that it will be a lot easier if I open my hands instead of holding the bottle with my closed fists.
Oh? Hi, there.
I’ve recently made it a habit to check and see who is holding me or carrying me. It’s not that I forget or anything. I just like to feel reassured when I see that it’s Mommy or Daddy. I don’t know who else it would be. But it still makes me feel safe.
Happy morning
Some days you just wake up on the right side of the bed in a great mood. That was today. I think it will be a great day!

Clean, dry, and ready to move
The older I get, the more aware I am of my surroundings, and the more curious I am. I want to see everything and touch everything. So after my bath, when I’m all dried off, I start trying to turn over to see what I can see and to touch what I can touch. IContinue reading “Clean, dry, and ready to move”
Reverse
Trying to crawl is very frustrating. I feel like I should be able to to do it, but I just can’t figure it out. I can move, but only in reverse. That’s not exactly progress, in fact, it is the opposite. Maybe I should just stay still for the time being. At least I don’tContinue reading “Reverse”
Big eater
I’m still loving my solid foods. I am a big eater and always eat everything given to me. I am also very eager. Look at my big mouth ready to eat.
My bottle
Yep, I’m still taking control of my bottle. For optimal drinking angle, this is the best way to do it.
Complaining to myself
I’m just looking in my mirror and complaining to myself. I do this quite often. It usually happens when I have grievances, but I don’t really know who to address them to, so I just complain to myself instead. Sure, nothing gets solved, but at least I’m not mistakenly blaming somebody for something they hadContinue reading “Complaining to myself”
Floor pounding game
Today, Daddy and I discovered a new game: floor pounding. So, what you do is take turns pounding the floor. That’s it. That’s the whole game. Okay, I know it doesn’t sound like much, but we enjoyed it. Any little thing that we do together is fun!
Observing the world
The older I get, the more I see. It is a big world out there! But I also am noticing more things in the house as well. Wow! Look at that ceiling!
